MOUNTING THE TAILGATOR

  • Our rack is designed to fit a standard trailer rear gate. It will work if your setup has a standard door hinge type and at least 18 inches of clearance from the bottom of the door to the bottom of the door latch. And 89”-95” from the edge of your trailer to the far left henge (center of henge).

  • The rack includes a complete installation kit for your convenience. It secures directly to the metal frame surrounding the rear door. We provide 5/16" bolts with a rivnut kit. Additionally, the latch is designed to mount seamlessly to your door’s existing hinges.

  • The Tailgator was designed to hold a 2 or 3 burner bbq grill (camp chef)

    The standard rack design accommodates a maximum grill size of 40” x 17”. If your grill fits within those dimensions, the Tailgator system will work for you.

  • The Lil-Gator is specifically engineered for RVs and campers featuring a 4” square tube bumper.

    • Left-Side Grill: (outside away from the trailer) The grill is on your left, and the prep table/workspace is on your right
