Q: What changed with the new Gatorack design?A: We updated our rack lineup to improve compatibility across a wider variety of toy haulers and RVs while making installation simpler. Here are the key improvements:

  • Lower Profile & Less Clearance Needed: We reduced the total height of the rack from 17" down to 12". This drops the required mounting clearance from 18" to just 14", allowing our racks to fit tighter spaces and a broader range of setups.

  • Simplified Universal Mounting Bracket: Instead of multiple mounting bracket choices, we streamlined the system into one, highly adaptable universal bracket. It’s easier to install and fits more applications right out of the box.

  • More Height Adjustments: We added additional height adjustment positions to both the Lil-Gator and the RV Adapter Mount, giving you finer control to dial in the perfect height for your build.

Q: When do these changes take effect?

A: All orders placed after August 17, 2026 will automatically ship with the new redesigned model and updated mounting system.

LATCH MOUNTING TO THE FURTHEST LEFT HINGE (ON BACK DOOR/RAMP)

CORNER BRACKET FOR TAIL-GATOR & LIL-GATOR

  • Our rack is designed to fit a standard trailer rear gate. It will work if your setup has a standard door hinge type and at least 14 inches of clearance from the bottom of the door to the bottom of the door latch. And 89”-95” from the edge of your trailer to the far left henge (center of henge).

  • The rack includes a complete installation kit for your convenience. It secures directly to the metal frame surrounding the rear door. We provide 5/16" bolts with a rivnut kit. Additionally, the latch is designed to mount seamlessly to your door’s existing hinges.

  • The Tailgator was designed to hold a 2 or 3 burner bbq grill (camp chef)

    The standard rack design accommodates a maximum grill size of 40” x 17”. If your grill fits within those dimensions, the Tailgator system will work for you.

  • The Lil-Gator is specifically engineered for RVs and campers featuring a 4” square tube bumper.

  • "Our rack system features a heavy-duty, bolt-on bracket design specifically engineered to securely mount to any standard 4-inch square tube bumper."

  • "Our product features a multi-fit design, ensuring compatibility with a wide range of BBQ models so you can use it with your existing grill."

  • Grill Configurations (as you are grilling at the rack)

    • Left-Side Grill: (outside away from the trailer) The grill is on your left, and the prep table/workspace is on your right
